University of Birmingham provides a longstanding four-year course in Mathematics and Computer Science BSc with an Industrial Year option for employment readiness post-graduation.

Your course experience in Mathematics and Computer Science at University of Birmingham includes access to an Mathematics Learning Centre, and exclusive study in one of two programs to receive the highest marks in Assessment of Quality in Education in England. This course may interest students with substantial interest in computational mathematics in the computer sciences.

This course is offered in a three plus one format, with the ‘plus one’ for an industrial year of employment in the field. The following modules are some of the included options and requirements for this course:

Entry Requirements

Students who may gain entry into this program must be 17 years of age or over. You must have A level Mathematics at grade A. The following requirements may also apply:

  •  General Studies may be considered on an individual basis, if you do not meet typical offer.
  • International Students: IB Diploma of 35 to 36 with at least 6 points in Mathematics at SL.
  •  Standard English Language Requirements apply
