The University of London- Royal Holloway offers a three-year course in Computer Science- Information Security (BSc), with an option of a year in industry, where students apply skills learned in the first two years in the course of study, and gain live workplace experience and learning outside of the course of study. As of 2014, this degree offered in information security will  be internationally approved to meet the skills expected of graduates in Information Security. Students interested in gaining instruction directly from Information Security Group (ISG) should consider this course of study. ISG is an established security group, with recognition from commerce and government for it’s large international influence.

As an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research, students in this program will learn from the foremost thinkers and in the field. In this course of study your will specialize in Information Security while receiving extensive foundational instruction in Computer Science. This integration between areas of student will assist new Information Security Specialists position themselves for success in industry and government employment. Because the Computer Science -Information Security (BSc) course is integrated with ISG, students will exclusively have access to cutting-edge and up-t0-date knowledge and solutions that keeps this degree competitive and the curriculum correlated to real-world technologies.

Entry Requirements

A typical A-Level offer in this program include ABC/BBB including at the requirement of at least B in mathematics or physics or ABC with a required an A in computing. For international baccalaureate student diplomas, a score of 32 points including 5 in mathematics or physics at higher level is required for entry. BTEC National Diploma offers require Distinction, Distinction, Distinction (with an emphasis on a computing component) and a requirement of at least B in GCSE mathematics.

For international students additional requirements apply. Passing IELTS and TOEFL scores for non-native English speaking applicants  are required.
